Thank you for taking the time to visit Chipping Norton Schools website and we hope that you have been able to find all of the information you need. Chipping Norton Sixth Form is an exciting place to begin the next stage of your academic career. Our central aim is to “Enjoy and Achieve”. This year’s A level results placed us within the top 15% of schools nationally and in our most recent Ofsted report we were rated as Good. Students have the luxury of their own facilities, allowing them to study independently in a variety of learning environments. We have a strong sense of community, which provides additional support for students throughout their two years of study and allows them to develop friendships that last a life time.
We have a well-established and experienced team in our Sixth Form. We are incredibly proud of the students’ results and this forms a primary reason for students choosing to continue their studies with us. In this summer's exams (2017) 24% of students achieved A* - A grades, 54% achieved A* - B grades and 99% of students achieved an A* - E grade. This success is based on strong academic teaching and individual student guidance. 74% of the students decided to continue into Higher Education, 24% of which went on to study at Russell Group universities.
Student voice and leadership are key qualities we strive to develop in our students. They have the opportunity to participate in a variety of super curricular activities including The Community Sports Leaders Award, Duke of Edinburgh Award and The Extended Project Qualification. In addition we invite a range of speakers from local universities and the world of business to support our students with their post 18 pathway choices. There are opportunities for students to participate in regular and organised sport. These activities prepare and give our students a competitive edge when entering the world of work and or applying to university.
Should you need any further support or would like to visit the school then please do not hesitate to contact any member of the Sixth Form Team.
