After being victorious at the quality Sibford 7’s, beating all opposition including some local private schools, Chipping Norton Year 8 rugby team were invited to play in the Redrow 7’s finals at Franklins Gardens, home of Premiership rugby club Northampton Saints.
After a mixed start in a tough group, Chipping Norton went from strength to strength and qualified for the Bowl Final to be played in the main stadium. 
Unfortunately due to injury and illness we had had to play most of the tournament with 8 players and this final game was one too many for tired legs and we lost 24-14.  This was the first time any Chipping Norton side had qualified for this tournament which was dominated by Private Schools and the squad were an absolute credit to the school playing some excellent rugby throughout the day.
